La Casita de Alexia

For 10 years, our main cause of social responsibility was La Casita de Alexia, giving structural and operational support to the project.

It was born out of the need to provide children from low-income families with a dignified and equitable standard of living, as an inherent right of their human condition. Through education, food, physical, affective and emotional care, vaccination and stimulation in all aspects of learning, the project sought to develop the full potential of each child who participates in it.

The strategy was to have loving and trained people in charge of the children in the daycare center.

This staff was supported by professionals in the different areas of the project (psychology, pediatrics, dermatology, etc).

Events and Sponsorships

The companies of Grupo Atlántico RD, committed to their Corporate Social Responsibility, make important contributions to the community through multiple events and sponsorships. For 10 years they were the main collaborator of La Casita de Alexia, a non-profit institution dedicated to the care and education of preschool children. They have been, on many occasions, official sponsors of the sports events Puerto Plata Correio 10K and Sosua 10K. In December of each year they hold the "Donations" event.

Grupo Atlántico RD gives donations to charities

Hormigones del Atlántico, Depósito Ferretero and Mairení Bournigal & Co., companies that make up the Grupo Atlántico RD, made their customary donation to these charities in the province of Puerto Plata.

Through its Corporate Social Responsibility policy, Grupo Atlántico RD collaborates year after year with organizations that work for the community in the areas of Education, Health, Sports, Culture, Religion and help for the needy. The institutions benefited were: Monasterio de la Visitación de Santa María, Voluntariado Jesús Con los Niños, Parroquia Nuestra Señora de la Milagrosa de la Comunidad de Maimón, Asociación Dominicana de Rehabilitación, Cruz Roja Dominicana, Asilo de Ancianos San Antonio María Claret, Youth Integration, Luisa Ortea School Home, Martina Shelter House, Friends of the Poor Society, Servants of Mary Congregation, Antera Mota League, Papote Sosa Sports League, Tato Martinez League, School for Deaf Children, Fantastic Sports Club, among others.

The managers of the Group, Engineer Mairení Bournigal and Architect Manuel Durán, valued the hard and meritorious work done by the people in charge of the different institutions in favor of the social causes of the province.
